Cooking With Cricut Holiday Blog Hop Challenge

Ok everyone, sorry for the long gap between posts, but I've been really busy with kids, family and the holidays. But...I wanted to share with you my entry into the Cooking With Cricut Holiday Blog Hop Challenge. Only requirements were a holiday themed item created for the challenge and that it must include something cut from my cricut, wether it be from a cart or an svg. So here is my entry. I had had this idea in my head for awhile and finally sat down to make it. It is a 3 part stackable snowman box. Each of the 3 pieces is an individual box. I created the svg for each piece including the arms, nose, and label on the front of his belly. I then inked and embellished it, added the cute saying and assembled him. I love the way it turned out, and I hope you do too!

Ok, still crazy around here, but here's a new file for you all. I created this for a baby album I'm working on and the parents to be are doing an owl themed nursery. Tri Shutter Cards

Ok here is a simple svg for a tri shutter card and for a full front tri shutter card. It is created in layers. The cutting size should be 12"x5.5", so after importing it, make sure you select keep porportions and size it accordingly. It has a layer for the score lines and a layer for cutting the design paper to fit. Just remeber to open your layers palette and to hide these accordingly. The password is iagreeto. Hello everyone! How have you all been? I'm so sorry for being MIA for this long, life's just been a little crazy around here! To make up for it though, I am posting 2 new files today. The first is a great oval shape perfect for cards. It is made to be used with ribbon. If you cut it at 4" wide it will accomodate a 1/2" ribbon and cut at 2" it will accomodate a 1/4" ribbon. New Endeavor - The Chic Boutique

Well, I've been contemplating this for awhile and have decided to jump in. I have been out of work for about six months now and need to make some extra money to help out. It's nice being home with my kiddos and this will hopefully help me to stay home a little longer, enjoy them and what I LOVE to do. Create!

So now along with my free files that I post, I will also have files available for purchase. They will be at very reasonable prices for my own creations. I hope that you all like them! I will of course continue to offer free files as that is what I love to do. The ones for purchase will be files that have taken a little longer to create, but will be affordable.

So my first file up for purchase in the Chic Boutique is a card file. I created it as an A2 sized card (5.5"x4.25" when folded) It has lilies along the edge and would make a very nice sympathy card or birthday card. It is in svg format. Sorry I've been MIA, but that's what happens during the summer and you live where the temps are 110-125 daily! You seek out water! My oldest is on the swim team and my littlest is in lessons. I have also been helping out with this years design/set up for our swim team awards banquet. This year it's muscle beach. We keep a secret from the kids so it a surprise and we do a different theme each year. We will be serving boardwalk fare for the food and have cotton candy, popcorn, and preztles. I think the kids are going to love it!

So I wanted to try something new. I've been wanting to design a LO in ink and have all the pieces I need to create it, made into cuttable files. Here is my first attempt. I think it turned out pretty good! Of course some pieces can be replaced for actual hard goods if that's your preference, but everything to make this LO out of paper is included. I myself prefer hard goods, but do have the need for paper only LO's sometimes, and this is a great option I think. Hope you all like it. So I came across this blog today, Make It Crafty and boy is it amazing! I have to admit I'm a papercrafter at heart, but I am so dying to jump feet first into this Copic coloring as I've always loved to color LOL! Here is a lovely 12" border for you to cut. It is quite large (5+ inches wide when cut at 12") but it is beautiful! You could of course cut it smaller, but beacause of the detail, it will probably be very delicate. If you do choose to make a smaller cut, I would recommend cutting only the bottom layer. Give Thanks Word Book

Ok, so I'm trying something new. I created a word book titled "Give Thanks" for my family's Thanksgiving get together. It took me days to get it just right and I think it's beautiful! MOO of course! Anyways I have listed the svg file on etsy if anyone is interested. I ususally like to share my files, but thought since I worked so very hard on this one, that I would list it for sale...I guess I'll see what happens! Someone on the SCAL forum was looking for an aperture card for a 50th anniversary that was "flourishy" This is my go at it....hope someone can use it! I created it as an A9 card or 8.5x11" in laymans terms. But as always it can be resized to fit your needs. The password is iagreeto.

Went with the girls for a girls day out yesterday. It's been two years since we've all been able to get out without kids and/or husbands and boy did we have a blast!!!! We went to see The Ugly Truth...so funny! Well worth the price of admission. Then we went to Chili's for lunch and little margaritas. Thanks again girls. We'll definitely have to do that again (and not in two years)!
